Bocawina Rainforest Resort & Adventures

3 Nights

Dinner at the Resort and plan for the following day which would mainly be birding the grounds in search for any specific targets the group would have.
Some of these targets include Cinnamon Becards, Central American Pygmy Owl, Spectacled Owl, and White-vented Euphonia amongst other goodies of the area.
Morning trip to Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the only Jaguar Reserve in the World, in search for Chestnut-headed Oropendolas, Uniform Crakes, Tinamous and other specialties of the area.
Afternoon visit to Hopkin's Wetlands in search for Waders like Jabirus and Reddish Egrets, Crakes and Rails and search for any other good birds in the area.
Optional Owl outing after dinner.
Early morning birding before breakfast, have breakfast and then leave to following birding place, Tanager Rainforest Lodge. Bird in between the two Lodges.

This includes Room, Meals, Park Entry Fees, and Day trip to Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary

Tanager Rainforest Lodge

3 Nights

Dinner at Lodge. Optional Owl Drive looking for Striped Owl and Mottled Owl.
Early Birdwalk on the grounds looking for Bare-crowned Antbird, Dusky Antbird, and Great Antshrikes apart from other specialties of the Lodge.
Drive to the Belize Hawk Watch to spend the best part of the morning trying to catch the Raptor Rush Hour hoping to see movement of Hook-billed Kites. (Only possible if done in Fall. If during Spring, we would bird in other areas.)
Local Lunch at Tunich Ha Ecological Reserve and bird the area for Leaftossers, antbirds and Mistletoe Tyrannulets. Then head to the Dump.
Birding at The Dump, a swampy area with Rice Fields, looking for Waders, Raptors and Crakes. Back to Lodge for Dinner.
Early birding near Blue Creek Caves in search for Tinamous, Motmots, Mourners and Bandtailed Barbthroat, a Hermit like Hummingbird mainly restricted to the South of Belize. Back to Lodge for Lunch.
Easy afternoon with birding on the grounds to create the option for resting and packing as the next travel day would be a long one.
Early birding before breakfast. Leave after breakfast on 4.5hr travel to Black Rock Lodge with travel time extended with possible stops for some birding along the way.

Black Rock Lodge

3 Nights

Dinner at the Lodge and plan for the following day but probably Bird around the lodge depending on targets left after Tanager Rainforest Lodge.
Some of the specialties are the 3 Hawk-Eagles, King Vultures, and Orange-breasted Falcons amongst others Raptors and Forest birds. They also have Bird Feeders which can be quite productive species wise and for Photography.
Day trip to Mountain Pine Ridge to look for many species that can only be found there like Rusty Sparrow, Rufous-capped Warbler, and Black-headed Siskins amongst others. On the way back may be make a stop at Green Hills Butterfly Ranch where they have Hummingbird Feeders which are good for photography or choose other location depending on targets.
Leave Black Rock after Breakfast and bird our way to our following Destination, Lamanai Outpost Lodge. Lunch on the road.

This includes room, meals and a day trips. Other activities are to be paid at lodge.

Lamanai Outpost

3 Nights

This includes a 1.5hr River transfer from a Boat Landing to the Lamanai Outpost Lodge. This amazing Lodge is adjacent to Lamanai Archaeological Reserve where Ancient Maya Temples await to be admired by nature and architecture lovers as it creates mixture of History, Flora and Fauna all in one place.
The Lodge also has a vast number of activities from which we can choose from depending on group interest apart from Birding and Photography or simple just do Birding and Wildlife Activities.
Here we would tackle most of the Yucatan Endemics and Regional Endemics. Some of the focus species include Yucatan Woodpeckers, Yellow-lored Amazons, Yucatan Jays, Black Catbirds, Yucatan Flycatchers, and Yellow-headed Amazons amongst other good birds of the area.
Here, we would also do a night Boat Spotlight Safari which is one of the most iconic activities this place offers. The target species on this expedition would be Northern Potoo, Yucatan Nightjar, roosting Kingfishers, herons and any other wildlife in the area.
